Job Title: School Nurse (RN & LPN)

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team at the DeKalb County School District. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing health and medical services to students, promoting a climate of health and well-being in our schools.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing student health procedures, assisting students with medication administration, and maintaining up-to-date health records. They will also observe students regularly to detect health needs, work one-on-one with assigned students, and provide emergency care as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform student health procedures and assist students with medication administration
  • Report to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school health matters
  • Maintain up-to-date health records on students
  • Observe students regularly to detect health needs
  • Work one-on-one with assigned students and provide emergency care as needed
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Practical Nursing or equivalent education/training
  • Minimum of one (1) year practical nursing or closely related experience
  • Valid State of Georgia Practical Nurse license
  • Valid certificates in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
