Fleet and Equipment Procurement Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will oversee the maintenance, procurement, and management of the company's fleet of vehicles and construction equipment. This includes ensuring all assets are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently while optimizing costs.
About the RoleThis key position is responsible for managing the tool-tracking system, determining equipment requirements, and prioritizing procurements for projects. The successful candidate will also negotiate vendor contracts and supplier agreements, develop and oversee the fleet and equipment budget, and monitor fleet-related expenditures to implement cost-saving measures.
Key Responsibilities:- Fleet Management
- Operate, maintain, and perform regular checks on all vehicles and equipment.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
- Analyze fleet metrics, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and usage rates.
- Coordinate delivery of equipment and materials as needed.
- Equipment Procurement
- Manage the tool-tracking system.
- Determine equipment requirements and prioritize procurements for projects.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and supplier agreements.
- Budgeting and Cost Control
- Develop and oversee the fleet and equipment budget.
- Monitor fleet-related expenditures and implement cost-saving measures.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Evaluate drivers, vehicles, and equipment to ensure safety and environmental regulations are met.
- Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and train drivers on company driving standards, safety protocols, and compliance guidelines.
- Foster a culture of safety and responsibility among fleet and equipment teams.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all equipment and parts.
- Coordinate disposal of outdated or damaged equipment.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Generate reports on fleet performance, maintenance activities, and budget status.
- Analyze fleet data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet and equipment management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of vehicle and equipment maintenance practices.
- Proficient in fleet management software (Tenna preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; Class A driver's license preferred.
- $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
