About the Role

The Facilities and Maintenance Office Manager position is a key role within Matson Terminals, Inc, responsible for overseeing the management of the storeroom and F&M office. This individual will directly supervise four storeroom clerks and two office clerks, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Facilities and Maintenance Department Managers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage the input of F&M data into Matson's maintenance and other related systems, including payroll, equipment hours, and preventive service maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate the development of the initial F&M budget, which includes Honolulu and Neighbor Islands, and revise it in conjunction with the Facilities and Maintenance Department Managers.
  • Monitor budgets to ensure proper management control of company funds and develop and monitor the G&A budget.
  • Manage the processing of invoices to ensure accountability for all maintenance and repair expenditures.
  • Manage the production and distribution of required and appropriated reports for use in Honolulu and headquarters.
  • Review OM & R contracts and invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms and rates, and update and monitor SOX compliance requirements.
  • Manage the CY gate scales, elevators, buildings & yard maintenance, and other project management duties in support of the Facilities and Maintenance Department Managers.
  • Manage the parts room and storage room activities, including purchase orders, scheduling, process flows, and approval processes, and coordinate quarterly physical inventory and controls.
  • Apply financial controls and monitoring to meet General Accounting Practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in business/accounting or equivalent
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC card
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting 50 minutes per hour
  • Walking 20 minutes per hour
  • Standing 20 minutes per hour
  • Lifting 25 lbs.
  • Other: may require travel for meetings on Neighbor Islands and the Continental United States.

The annual salary range for this position in Hawaii is $89,400 - $121,620. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
