FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Act as the primary contact for individuals seeking assistance with technical issues via phone or emailConduct remote diagnostics through effective questioning and troubleshooting techniquesIdentify the most suitable resolution based on the information provided by usersGuide users through the problem-solving processEscalate unresolved issues to higher-level support staffProvide accurate information regarding IT products or servicesDocument events and issues along with their resolutions in logsFollow up and update users on their status and informationPerform various technical tasks to support the Student Information System (SIS).Marginal Functions
Prepare Request for Purchase Orders (RPO's) as necessaryDevelop bid specifications as requestedUndertake additional duties as assignedPhysical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical and visual activities or demands typically associated with the execution of the functions of this role.
Walking, sitting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing.Normal attention with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less as well as 20 feet or more, along with depth perception required.Light to moderate physical demand with regular lifting of very light to light items (1 to 25 pounds) and occasional lifting of average items (25 to 60 pounds) by hand.Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the execution of the functions of this role.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge of a specialized or technical field such as computer technology and curriculum applications, involving a thorough understanding of skills and the application of basic theory. Equivalent to high school plus additional specialized training equivalent to two years of college.
Experience: Requires a minimum of one year up to three years of experience in computer technology, including various automated systems (hardware and software). Preferably, at least one year of experience with the Student Information System (SIS).
Skills and Abilities: Which may be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
Must possess positive and effective interpersonal skills.Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.Address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Perform basic arithmetic operations and compute ratios, rates, and percentages.Demonstrate reading, writing, and speaking skills at an intermediate level.Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: Which may be representative but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
