Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing general radiography procedures under the direction of the Site Manager and Radiology Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepares procedure rooms and patients for all studies, ensuring proper disinfection of equipment and disposal of dirty linen. * Educates patients regarding ordered procedures and answers related questions. * Obtains patient history and written consent for exams, verifying patient information and ICD-9/10 codes. * Performs procedures in accordance with established protocols, positioning patients and selecting appropriate equipment. * Monitors patients during procedures, notifying radiologists of reactions or problems. * Assists radiologists when necessary, ensuring minimal patient discomfort. * Demonstrates competency on all general diagnostic imaging equipment in CT, ensuring quality images for all completed procedures. * Carries out duties and assumes responsibility for portions of the quality assurance program, as directed by equipment vendors. * Maintains competence with HIS, RIS, PHS, and PACS systems. * Runs pending work reports daily to ensure all exams have been properly charged, tracking PACS and HIS errors on PI reports. * Maintains adequate supplies, stocking rooms and reporting supply needs and par levels to designated personnel.
Requirements:
* Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology * Registered Technologist, Radiography Medical Radiologic Technologist, or other certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) * Basic Life Support certification * New Graduate
