Job Summary

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. Your expertise in operating cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body will be essential in helping us deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cameras to detect and map radioactive drugs in patients' bodies, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately to optimize image quality.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols, ensuring patient safety and radiation safety.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to minimize exposure and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including accurate lead markers and patient data/history.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine certification program.
  • No experience required, but a strong foundation in nuclear medicine principles and practices is essential.
