We are seeking a highly skilled Cytogenetic Technologist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex tests and procedures in the field of cytogenetics.
Key Responsibilities- Perform tissue culture, microscopic analysis, and molecular cytogenetics procedures with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Document and maintain records of test results and laboratory procedures.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field.
- Current ASCP Certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP-CG).
- At least one year of experience in a clinical cytogenetics laboratory.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
