Job Summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking a highly skilled Class A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering produce to customers on an assigned route, while ensuring timely and efficient service.

Responsibilities
  • Drive company truck to deliver produce to customers on an assigned route, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist warehouse staff in storing incoming produce, returning produce to coolers, and fueling trucks and trailer refrigeration units.
  • Inspect equipment, load, unload trailer, and breakdown pallets of produce, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely manner, including manifest and delivery documentation.
  • Meet with dispatcher for route and product information, and notify dispatcher of departure time and first stop.
  • Drive to customer location, back into loading dock or pull into loading zone, and check in with customer to receive instructions on where to drop product.
  • Unload pallets of product and transport using electric pallet jack to customer desired location, and receive signature on invoice.
  • Load pallet jack back on truck with empty pallets, and load returns on truck.
  • Drive to next stop and repeat, and at end of shift, return paperwork to dispatcher.
  • Off-load pallets and pallet jack, unhook trailer at dock, and drive tractor to parking area for semi-tractors.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, speak and read the English language, bi-lingual preferred.
  • At least one (1) year experience in driving route deliveries in a box truck or tractor trailer.
  • Valid Class A Alaskan License with at least one year of verifiable driving in a Class A.
  • Provide at least a five (5) year Driving Record from an Alaskan DMV.
  • Valid Medical Card and endorsements.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test, background, and reference check.
  • Able to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
  • Work an electric/manual pallet jack.
