Job Summary

UF Health Shands seeks a skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic psychiatric hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapies to promote patient well-being and recovery.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Florida Mental Health Law, AHCA, and JCAHO regulations.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in nursing, social work, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Post-graduate experience in psychiatric treatment preferred.
  • Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position.
Additional Information

This is a variable/PRN position, and employees will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.

Please note that a frequent driver is defined as one who uses their personal or Shands automobile at least once daily, five individual trips per week, or drives over 150 miles per week in the performance of their job.
