Northrop Grumman's Weapons Business Unit is currently in search of a Senior Weapons Flight Simulation Engineer for our Advanced Programs Software, Modeling, and Simulation team in Northridge, CA

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will spearhead our initiatives to incorporate our weapon Integrated Flight Simulations (IFSs) into the Joint Simulation environment (JSE), while also supporting Stand-in Attack Weapon (SiAW) and Advanced Programs.

This role necessitates communication with government representatives, particularly pilots at USAF and USN Weapons Schools, to comprehend operator needs and ensure that Northrop Grumman's weapon simulation and training resources contribute to the success of the warfighter.

The successful candidate must possess military pilot experience and familiarity with military training and simulation facilities and infrastructure. They will also have experience in establishing requirements for simulation and software engineers, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey technical and operational needs.

Essential Qualifications:

Associate's degree with 16 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 12 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 18 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

Active Secret clearance/TS preferred 5+ years of military pilot experience Must have experience with pilot training Experience designing and testing military flight simulations Experience integrating simulations into the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE)

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience with programming distributed simulation protocols such as DIS or HLA Experience conducting modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks evaluating system survivability, effectiveness, and overall performance in engagement/mission-level scenarios.

Knowledge of RF Threat Modeling, Electronic Attack techniques and modeling, guided missile design Familiarity with simulation frameworks:

AFSIM, Suppressor, Brawler, JWS, AJEM, ESAMS Understanding of Agile, MBSE, and/or system architecture frameworks Effective project management skills and strong communication techniques Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to present and brief technical data to all levels of leadership within the organization and U.S.

Salary Range:
$165,000 - $247,600 The above salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
