Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic medical sonography procedures, providing high-quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic medical sonography procedures, including ultrasound exams, to provide high-quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
  • Set up and assist in invasive procedures when ultrasound is used as a guidance tool.
  • Position and transfer patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist physicians in performing invasive procedures, including checking necessary lab work pre-exam and delivering specimens to appropriate areas of the hospital.
  • Practice sterile technique to prevent contamination and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or graduate of an approved medical sonography program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in Breast or registry eligible with 12 months to become registered.
  • BLS certification.
