Join Our Team as a Senior Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging technology.

About the Role

The Senior Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic medical sonography procedures, providing high-quality exams for interpretation by a Radiologist. You will also set up and assist in invasive procedures when ultrasound is used as a guidance tool, and perform all tasks necessary to provide quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Cooperate with all associates in proper conduct of the department.
  • Perform other related duties as required and deemed necessary per Breast Radiologist/Manager.
  • Follow the "Standard of Behavior" guidelines per hospital policy.
  • Follow prescribed hospital safety standards.
  • Maintain ethical, professional relationships.
  • Incorporate patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
  • Positions and transfers patients for exams.
  • Assists physicians in performing invasive procedures, being responsible for checking necessary lab work pre-exam and for delivering specimens to appropriate areas of the hospital with proper paperwork.
  • Practices sterile technique to prevent any contamination.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or Graduate of an approved medical sonography program.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) in Breast or registry eligible with 12 months to become registered.
