Key Responsibilities:
- Handle cash register operations, ensuring accurate transactions and preparing daily financial reports for management review.
- Interact positively with donors, clients, and team members, fostering a respectful and dignified atmosphere.
- Assist with client referrals and maintain thorough documentation of services provided.
- Collaborate with the store supervisor to manage inventory, including pricing, sorting, and displaying clothing and household items.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within the store and pantry areas, adhering to security protocols.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, providing information or directing calls as necessary.
- Work alongside volunteers to promote teamwork and enhance service delivery within the organization.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Mobile Food Pantry Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute food orders to underserved areas.
- Monitor food deliveries, ensuring quality and proper storage.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and food distribution.
- Coordinate with donors and assist in sourcing food supplies.
- Manage the mobile pantry vehicle, ensuring it is clean and well-maintained.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding supply needs and operational challenges.
- Provide orientation and support for volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to assist effectively.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Compassionate approach towards individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated initiative and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
