Job Title: Structural Engineer, Launch Pad

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Structural Engineer, Launch Pad, you'll play a critical role in designing and building the infrastructure that will enable our Starship to reach orbit.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project team in the design, construction, and commissioning of the launch pad and ancillary infrastructure.
  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects.
  • Perform civil and structural design and analysis calculations for structural steel and concrete.
  • Manage construction contracts with subcontractors and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Provide on-site engineering inspections and resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in civil or structural design, analysis, construction, and drafting.
  • Demonstrated experience in quick thinking and problem-solving, as well as fostering a culture of high personal accountability and responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, NX, Solidworks, or similar drafting programs, as well as SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, RISA-3D, ETABS, or similar analysis software.
  • Knowledge of AISC steel manual, ACI code 318, ASCE 7, and IBC.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, perform hands-on work in various conditions, and focus while wearing personal protective equipment.
