Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer at Superior Tube Products Inc plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design principles, process improvement methodologies, and quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Conduct quality audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on quality and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in lean manufacturing or process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean principles.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kaizen, Six Sigma, and poka-yoke for reducing waste and improving product quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Knowledge of global shop or other ERP systems.
