About the Role:

Hired by Matrix is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Services Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Check-in and Scheduling: Verify patient information, check-in patients, and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
  • Phone and In-Person Support: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering phone calls, and addressing in-person inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Co-pay Collection: Collect co-pays and other payments from patients in a secure and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: A strong work history as a medical receptionist, with at least 1 year of recent experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC and other healthcare software systems.
  • Specialty or Cardio Experience: Previous experience in a specialty or cardio setting is highly desirable.
  • Technical Savviness: Strong technical skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to float between locations and adapt to changing priorities.
