Howard University Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' bodies
  • Position patients and equipment to ensure accurate and safe imaging
  • Monitor and record vital signs, observing for reactions and signs of impending complications
  • Summarize, document, and present images and findings to physicians for diagnoses
  • Adhere to ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, precautions, and standards
  • Prepare rooms and patients for subsequent ultrasound procedures
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to ensure continuous improvement of services

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree (AA) in Radiology or equivalent from a two-year college or hospital-based program
  • Two (2) years' experience in Ultrasound desired
  • ARDMS and BLS certification required
  • Certification in General, Vascular, and OBGYN desired
