Job Summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Early-Career Environmental or Civil Engineer to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fieldwork, including soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling, and contractor oversight, as well as remediation treatment system operation and maintenance.
  • Evaluate chemical data and contaminant fate & transport.
  • Install wells, conduct aquifer testing, and monitor groundwater.
  • Evaluate groundwater and soil remedies, estimate costs, design calculations, and implement solutions.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.
  • Develop and/or review technical drawings, specifications, engineering documents, and civil/stormwater design.
  • Analyze data, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering (required).
  • Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering (preferred).
  • Prior internship or research experience in civil/environmental consulting (preferred).
  • Experience with civil and environmental engineering programs such as AutoCAD Civil3D, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, ArcView, Modflow, and/or EVS (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (required).
  • Regular field work and overnight travel (required).
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required).
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
