Law Enforcement Trainee

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our Police Department as a Police Cadet. This is an entry-level position that offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in law enforcement and contribute to the safety and security of our community.

About the Position:

As a Police Cadet, you will be responsible for assisting police officers in their daily duties, including patrolling, responding to emergency calls, and conducting investigations. You will also participate in training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills in areas such as communication, law enforcement techniques, and physical fitness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist police officers in their daily duties, including patrolling, responding to emergency calls, and conducting investigations.
• Participate in department-provided training to enhance your knowledge and skills in areas such as defensive tactics, communication, and law enforcement techniques.
• Learn department policies and procedures to prepare for a career as a sworn officer.
• Assist in community outreach programs, such as public safety fairs, school visits, or events like Coffee with a Cop.
• Perform clerical duties, such as filing reports, organizing records, or data entry, to assist sworn officers.
• Help maintain the department's equipment and supplies, including uniforms, vehicles, or safety gear.
• Maintain physical fitness standards required for the academy and future law enforcement roles.

The estimated salary for this position is $52,000 per year, which includes a competitive compensation package with great benefits, such as 100% fully paid employee health, vision, dental, and life insurance, generous retirement package, 13 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday, and 3 weeks of vacation.
