POSITION SUMMARY As a Culinary Team Leader, you will oversee meal preparation, cooking, and presentation within our kitchen. Your role will involve supervising daily operations with kitchen personnel, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. You will exemplify strong leadership qualities, working collaboratively with the team. A deep passion for culinary arts and the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced setting are essential. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to foster a positive, productive, and successful kitchen culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee kitchen staff, coordinating tasks to ensure efficient and accurate completion of daily operations.
- Prepare and cook dishes following established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food quality and presentation align with company expectations.
- Manage inventory levels and procure supplies as necessary.
- Monitor adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols, addressing issues as they arise.
- Train new kitchen staff and provide continuous coaching and development.
- Collaborate with management to brainstorm menu concepts and specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space.
- Be available to manage restaurant opening and closing duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Culinary Team Leader must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation:

- Experience in kitchen supervisory roles or catering operations.

- Willingness to accept constructive feedback and engage in mentorship.

- Desire to contribute positively to the company culture.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years in kitchen supervisory roles.
- Current state food handlers' certification is required.
