Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, MA.

Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as eating, toileting, and transferring
  • Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes to licensed staff nurses
  • Document resident care accurately and completely
  • Participate in planning and following resident care plans
  • Meet personal grooming needs for each resident
  • Promptly answer call lights and ensure all are within reach of residents
  • Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations
Requirements
  • Must be a registered certified nurse aide in accordance with state laws
  • CPR certification is preferred but not necessary
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • General work experience in long-term care is preferred but not necessary
