Get Fresh Produce has been a trusted provider of fresh produce and related products since 1982, serving various clients in the food service industry. We are currently seeking a dedicated Stocking Associate to join our operations.
The Stocking Associate will be responsible for managing inventory within a warehouse setting, including tasks such as picking, stocking, receiving, and ensuring quality control. Candidates should possess experience with reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and electric pallet jacks, ideally in a grocery or fresh produce environment. A minimum of 6 months of experience operating reach trucks is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain efficient inventory flow within the warehouse.
- Utilize barcode scanners for inventory management.
- Perform accurate tagging and paperwork functions to uphold product integrity and food safety standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment.
- Report any quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow supervisor instructions for product selection, loading, inspection, and sorting.
- Assist with general warehouse cleanliness throughout the day.
- Operate stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks as needed.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks, with a solid understanding of warehouse operations.
- Able to work in a cold storage environment with temperatures between 34°F and 58°F.
- Must wear safety steel-toe footwear and protective eyewear.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English for effective communication.
Work Schedule:
Workdays are Sunday through Friday, with two days off during the week. Shifts typically start at 8:00 AM and continue until tasks are completed, averaging 40 to 45 hours weekly.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly wage of $19.00.
