Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Software Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our Test Equipment Engineering organization, you will be responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining software for our on-site factory support of test systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using specified software style, development language, and integrated development environment.
  • Contribute to multidiscipline engineering teams to develop both engineering and production test equipment, environments, and systems.
  • Act independently or as part of a team to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test systems.
  • Work closely with IPTL leadership, Product Owners, and other leads to develop priorities, resolve issues, lead test software efforts, and facilitate cross-team/cross-discipline coordination and communication.
  • Support proposal activities such as writing Basis of Estimates and Proposal Tech Volumes.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior software engineering experience.
  • Experience programming in C/C++, C#, and/or ADA.
  • Experience leading an engineering team through the software development life cycle.
  • Experience working with Program Leadership, ensuring cost and schedule objectives are met.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as Product Owner or Scrum Master.
  • Experience guiding teams on how to use Agile practices and values to deliver high-quality software.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with Software process development and deployment.
  • EVMS certified.
