About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our Integrated Solutions Modeling and Architecture (ISMA) directorate, you will be responsible for developing and integrating mission simulations, virtual prototypes, and system emulators that represent a variety of mission technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and integrate new capabilities into existing simulation models
  • Run simulation environments and generate analysis data for evaluation
  • Work with a team lead to document design approaches and implement them
  • Participate in technical reviews with internal and external customers
What You Will Learn

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of mission systems development efforts and learn how to apply Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) concepts to develop and test mission systems under real-world conditions. You will also see how modeling and simulation is applied across the analysis pyramid to best inform our programs and identify innovative integrated solutions.

Qualifications
  • Typically requires a BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering work experience or an advanced degree in STEM and 6 years of Engineering experience
  • Experience with integrating distributed LVC simulation components and developing software applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with 3-Dimensional geometry and modern imaging/visualization principles
  • Experience with scientific computing software and software or system modeling practices
  • Experience with simulation tools and visualization environments
