Job Overview: This role presents a distinctive opportunity to contribute significantly to the expanding Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) Medical Affairs division, delivering innovative strategies to enhance treatment for individuals affected by mitral and tricuspid heart disorders.
This position within Medical Affairs (Contracts & Grants) will facilitate the oversight and execution of contracts, budgets, and payments related to educational and research grants, healthcare professionals, educators, vendors, contractors, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the contract lifecycle, encompassing negotiation, initiation, approval, payments, and documentation.
  • Evaluate requirements for contract amendments and renewals, provide guidance to stakeholders, offer recommendations, and negotiate modifications to terms and conditions while minimizing risks to the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on contracts, intent, and terms of agreements.
  • Oversee payments for educational and sponsorship grants.
  • Manage contracts and payments for research grants (investigator-initiated studies).
  • Administer the Grant Portal via (SFDC).
  • Supervise the educational grant repository and payment tracking system.
  • Monitor expenditures against budget, assist in forecasting, and generate metrics for reporting.
  • Identify and manage opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate to identify and resolve issues.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to appropriate business practices.
  • Ensure strict compliance with processes and activities, maintaining adherence to industry ethical standards.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused interface with healthcare professionals and other entities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in a healthcare or professional environment preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Industry experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare managing healthcare professional (HCP) contracts, compliance, budgets, and/or payments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in cardiovascular medical devices.
  • Familiarity with software or platforms such as ECLM, Icertis, (SFDC), COUPA, or similar payment systems.

  • Proven organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional documentation, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiation and relationship management skills with the ability to drive the achievement of objectives.
  • Extensive knowledge of the specific area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate management levels.
  • Capability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism with internal and external stakeholders.
