Job Title: Neuro Step Down Nurse

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neuro Step Down Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our Neuro Step Down Unit, you will provide exceptional care to patients with neurological medical and surgical conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide teaching and educational material to patients and significant others, considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
  • Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.
