Job Title: Home Care Scheduler

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Home Care Scheduler to join our team at Interim HealthCare Eastern Dakotas. As a Home Care Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our home care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government laws and regulations, as well as policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare.
  • Assist with ensuring all requirements of the office are in full compliance.
  • Receive referral calls, document intake for client services, and schedule care professionals for home care or staffing assignments.
  • Oversee all phases of the selection process, including posting, screening, interviewing, negotiating initial offers, and orienting new employees.
  • Design and deliver effective new employee orientations as needed to improve employee initial engagement with the Company.
  • Build relationships with clients and field staff.
  • Actively manage available field staff to maximize hours worked.
  • Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the paraprofessional field staff.
  • Assist in payroll and billing functions as needed.
  • Conduct home visits.
  • Supervise collection and distribution of mail.
  • Follow policies and procedures as directed.
  • Work with supervisor and other team members towards office and business goals.
  • Take appropriate and timely measures to meet the needs of the customer and employees.
  • Maintain a mature problem-solving approach under stressful circumstances.
  • Follow pay and bill structures set by office. Obtain appropriate approval for overtime, rewards, or motivators for field staff from supervisor.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as directed.
  • Responsible for orders being filled by qualified personnel in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for taking action when issues and problems are identified under the supervision of Client Service Supervisor.
  • Responsible for recruitment and interviewing of Care Professional staff and ongoing training and motivation of staff.
  • Develop sound customer objectives and strategies, identify and meet/exceed customer expectations, as well as maintain customer relationships in an ongoing effort to drive higher levels of customer satisfaction under the supervision of owner.
  • Oversee and ensure Care Professional education.
  • Complete other assignments as requested and assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience that includes staff supervision, recruiting, and hiring, preferred not required.
  • Leadership experience with groups or teams.
  • Knowledge of seniors and documented experience in working with them.
  • Previous experience in working with the senior population a plus.
