We seek a Lead Systems Architect to join our team.

The Lead Systems Architect role is pivotal in establishing and sustaining alignment on the technical strategy for device firmware, hardware interactions, and interfacing software. This individual will collaborate closely with the hardware engineering team, firmware groups, and application developers to devise solutions that fulfill both business and customer requirements through the development and verification of adherence to firmware roadmaps by all project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and overseeing foundational design plans for firmware, configuration management, and middleware throughout the lifecycle of all interlock devices.
  • Ensuring robust alignment of cross-functional technical architecture and design in relation to comprehensive device requirements.
  • Conducting in-depth identification, mitigation, and management of technical risks for all projects in accordance with roadmap architecture.
  • Approving design releases.
  • Driving design solutions and technical mitigations to meet business timelines.
  • Advising on development and system testing to ensure appropriate verification plans are in place.
  • Fostering relationships with firmware developers to understand coding practices and ensure consistency across projects.
  • Building cross-functional relationships to enhance processes and optimize collaborative outcomes.
  • Crafting technical summaries to clearly communicate analyses, options, and recommendations to senior technical leadership.
  • Translating complex technical risks and issues into business terms for executive leadership.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of experience leading product systems architecture development in vehicle integration and/or telematics applications.
  2. 10+ years of experience in hardware and firmware product development.
  3. Extensive experience in leading large teams and mentoring engineers across various disciplines.
  4. Experience with system testing methodologies, including automated testing scripts.
  5. Knowledge of electrical design, manufacturing, and testing practices.
  6. 5 years of programming experience in C, C++, and C#.
  7. Proven ability to identify and manage technical risks.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, programming, or equivalent experience.
