Missouri Delta Medical Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients, collect insurance and payment information, and obtain signatures for patient certification and assignment of benefits.
  • Enter diagnosis codes, receive and balance payments, and ensure accurate charges are entered into the computer.
  • Provide medical information to requesting agencies, type correspondence and reports, and file information.
  • Enter medical record information, assist with scheduling referrals, and maintain an organized filing system.
  • Participate in in-service programs, quality improvement initiatives, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care services.
  • Maintain good public relations for the clinic and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent; college-level training and office management skills preferred.
  • Previous clerical and office management experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Typing speed of 35 WPM.
  • Ability to operate computer, typewriter, computer printer, and adding machine.
Working Conditions
  • Small amount of standing required.
  • Considerable amount of walking during the course of a normal work day.
  • Minimum lifting of 15 to 20 pounds.
  • Essential for dealing with the public while admitting patients and operating various office equipment.
