Job Overview

The Lead Catering Services Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing and facilitating catering events of diverse scales across various locations. This position ensures that all catering standards and initiatives are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of safety that promotes a work environment free from injuries. Directly manage catering operations, which includes staff coordination, equipment rental, event setup, food and beverage preparation, service, and event breakdown.
  • Manage event bookings, menu selection, pricing, and cost analysis as required.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments and participate in management meetings. Engage with vendors and key stakeholders within the organization.
  • Build and maintain external customer relationships; represent the organization at meetings and events.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, organization, and safety standards through effective supervision and the use of checklists.
  • Participate in catering training programs and contribute to the development of training for hourly, part-time, and student staff.
  • Support the implementation and adherence to all catering operational initiatives and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of operational experience in a hospitality or banquet environment is required.
  • Previous experience in event booking is preferred.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
