Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory procedures and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including maintaining equipment and records, and performing quality assurance activities.
- Set up and perform routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures.
- Prepare and test specimens for examination and review results.
- Follow established in-process quality control procedures, including recording data.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic instrumentation, culture media, chemicals, reagents, stains, solutions, and technical problems.
- Maintain sufficient supplies at workstations.
- Ensure and maintain quality control and assurance activities.
- Use Infection Control practices and procedures, including wearing gloves, goggles, protective masks, and other safety equipment.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 0-1 years of technical experience required.
The salary range for this position is $54.23-$66.04/hour. Northwell Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
