Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our Dining Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality food service experience for our students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation, serving, and presentation in a fast-paced dining environment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner
  • Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in a food handling environment, preferably in a fast-paced dining setting
  • Knowledge of safe food handling guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, 10-month position, working nights and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
