Position Overview:

Compensation: This role offers an hourly wage of $14.00, in addition to tips.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit outstanding guest service and maintain positive interactions with colleagues.
  • Adhere to bar pre-shift instructions and menus to ensure quality service.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Possess knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirit options, with the ability to suggestively upsell to patrons.
  • Ensure responsible pouring practices in line with company standards.
  • Verify guests' ages by checking identification in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, including enforcing cut-off policies when necessary.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Manage situations involving intoxicated guests, escalating to management or security when needed.
  • Request additional supplies or restock items as necessary.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the bar's cash bank.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, ensuring all bar equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.

Additional Duties: Responsibilities may include setting up and breaking down bar equipment and assisting with inventory organization.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six months of bartending experience.
  • Proficient cash handling skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated while also being a team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Completion of bartending school is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves extensive standing and walking, with the need to reach, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus and maintain peripheral and close vision.
