Job Overview:

Northern Light Health is in search of a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy operations under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy Services and/or Staff Pharmacist. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of essential functions including pharmaceutical billing, inventory oversight, medication preparation, and upholding the utmost standards of patient safety and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory utilizing the PYXIS system
  • Prepare and dispense medications along with sterile compounds
  • Ensure precise tracking of controlled substance inventory
  • Repackage and label medications as required
  • Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pharmacy Intern certification is mandatory

Work Environment:

  • Possible exposure to aggressive individuals and hazardous substances
  • May encounter elevated noise levels and unpleasant odors
  • Job involves lifting and relocating items, along with extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Potential exposure to extreme temperatures
