Job Overview:
Northern Light Health is in search of a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to assist in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care. This role will be performed under the guidance of the Director of Pharmacy Services and/or Staff Pharmacist. The selected candidate will engage in essential duties such as pharmaceutical billing, inventory oversight, medication preparation, and upholding the utmost standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory utilizing the PYXIS system
- Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile compounds
- Ensure precise tracking of controlled substances
- Repackage and label medications as required
- Support the maintenance of adequate stock levels
- Carry out additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Mandatory Pharmacy Intern certification
Work Environment:
- Possible exposure to challenging individuals and hazardous substances
- May encounter elevated noise levels and unpleasant odors
- Job involves lifting and relocating items, along with extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
- Potential exposure to extreme temperature variations
