Our state-of-the-art facility is designed for outpatient surgery, equipped with the latest modern surgical equipment. Our experienced staff performs over 500 cases a month, offering a range of services including ENT, endoscopy, gastroenterology, GYN, infertility, pediatrics, plastics, podiatry, and urology procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Fannin Surgicare. As a circulating or scrub nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a smooth and efficient operating room environment.

  • Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR, utilizing preference cards and anticipating surgeons' needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
  • Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
  • Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury.
  • Manage patients' care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
  • Consistently review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
  • ACLS as required by facility.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
