Job Title: Internship Coordinator in Sponsored Projects Administration

UTHealth Houston is seeking an experienced and organized individual to coordinate the Research Administration Internship Program in our Sponsored Projects Administration department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of the Research Administration Internship Program to ensure successful training and mentorship of interns.
  • Maintain complex schedules for interns, trainers, guest speakers, mentors, and various meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute all program and training materials, ensuring uniform style for all materials, communications, and presentations.
  • Collect and organize all program evaluation materials.
  • Arrange all internship candidate interviews, travel, relocation as needed, and onboarding.
  • Assist with planning events to promote internship opportunities.
  • Confirm all attendance, rooms, audio-visual, etc., for all training sessions.
  • Track and process all payments and reimbursements related to the internship program.
  • May assist with data collection and preparing progress reports.
  • Update and maintain the SPA website to promote internship opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Outstanding customer relations skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/Zoom.
  • Flexible and adaptable to complete a high volume of varied responsibilities and thrive while working both independently and collaboratively.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years working on program coordination or an administrative role is required.
Work Environment:

This role will report on-site to our University Center Tower in the Texas Medical Center. It is a full-time position and eligible for all UTHealth Houston benefits.
