Job Summary

The Primary Psychotherapist will work closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive mental health services to adolescents with concurring psychiatric and medical disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of evidence-based therapies and the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and monitor individualized mental health treatment goals and objectives for each patient.
  2. Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family psychotherapy, as well as other clinical therapeutic interventions.
  3. Schedule and coordinate individual and family sessions, as well as group coverage.
  4. Document all sessions and patient encounters in a timely and accurate manner.
  5. Provide staff members with de-escalation techniques, psychoeducation, and other effective clinical strategies.
  6. Participate in regularly scheduled team conferences and provide ongoing assessments to identify and address behavioral concerns.
  7. Communicate and coordinate intervention with the interdisciplinary team to achieve cohesion and effectiveness in the program.
  8. Provide recommendations and actively participate in discharge planning and transition from the hospital to the next level of care.
  9. Stay current with the latest research and practices in behavioral management and care of patients with behavioral health concerns.
  10. Participate in ongoing program development meetings to assess the efficacy of current programs and make recommendations for treatment fidelity.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Training and experience in developing, training, implementing, and monitoring written behavioral programs.
  • Minimum two (2) years working in an inpatient hospital/rehab setting preferred.
  • LPC, LMSW, or LCSW licensure.
  • Must be certified in BLS.
