Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Construction Foreman to join our team at American States Utility Services. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater systems on military installations throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and implement work plans, schedules, and budgets for construction projects
  • Direct and supervise work crews and subcontractors to ensure maximum efficiency and quality
  • Assess and identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Collect and analyze data to track construction progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols
  • Perform physical construction activities, including excavation, pipe laying, and backfilling
  • Oversee water and wastewater line testing and quality control
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment
  • Load, unload, and distribute materials and equipment as needed
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including dump trucks, bush-hogs, and backhoes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Five years of experience in water and wastewater system construction preferred
  • Two years of supervisory experience on construction projects preferred
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of construction software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds
