Position Overview:
  • The role involves executing repetitive assembly tasks to manufacture high voltage electrical switches or their subassemblies through the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and comprehend all assembly schematics, operational manuals, specialized assembly guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Secure and position components on assembly fixtures as necessary.
  • Examine and measure components to guarantee adherence to specified tolerances and quality standards.
  • Arrange parts in the designated configuration according to assembly schematics.
  • Join components using bolts, clips, screws, adhesives, or other fasteners, utilizing hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Operate machinery such as drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to perform drilling, force fitting, or fastening at assembly stations.
  • Label parts with identifying information.
  • May use hand files and air files to remove small amounts of material for precise fitting between components.
  • Adapt to various workstations as production demands shift.
  • Install switch components, including bearings, insulators, jaws, hinges, blades, or counterbalances.
  • Engage in assembly line tasks where responsibilities vary as different models progress through production.
  • Repair, rework, or replace defective components.
  • Maintain cleanliness and lubrication of parts and assemblies.
  • Ensure the workspace remains clean, safe, and organized.
