Position Purpose:

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will report directly to the Accounting Manager. A solid understanding of GAAP is necessary, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. This role encompasses various accounting responsibilities, including cash management, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, inventory, and fixed assets. The position also involves preparing journal entries, conducting account analyses and reconciliations, and maintaining comprehensive and accurate subledger details to support month-end closing activities. The ability to adapt to changes and thrive in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented setting.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Communicate effectively, ensuring clarity and accuracy, while actively seeking constructive feedback.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and self-direction as a team player; prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and develop practical action plans.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounting Manager and Controller in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and necessary adjusting entries in areas such as cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, inventory, and fixed assets.
  • Utilize accounting software to facilitate transaction processing and maintain relevant records.
  • Assist in reviewing the company's accounting data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Contribute to special projects aimed at optimizing the effectiveness of existing business applications and technologies.
  • Be available for nights, weekends, or overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Perform ad hoc accounting, finance, or project-related tasks as assigned.
  • This position is not remote; it requires onsite presence from Monday to Friday.
  • Must consistently fulfill essential job functions in a state of alertness and safety.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience is required.
  • CPA Candidate or pursuing CPA Certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
