Varsity Swim Coach

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Varsity Assistant Swim Coach to join our team at Lynchburg City Schools. The successful candidate will assist the head coach in planning and teaching student-athletes the rules, techniques, and equipment to become better swimmers or divers.

• Assist the head coach in planning and teaching student-athletes the rules, techniques, and equipment to become better swimmers or divers.
• Assist and direct individual and group practice activities off campus with a specified training facility.
• Monitor student-athletes during practices and competitions.

Requirements:

• Previous coaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in swimming meets and techniques is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• The coach must have completed or completed a mandatory coaches certification class under the Virginia High School League.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• None

Travel Requirements:

• Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neighboring localities.
