About the Role

In this position within the Autonomy Hardware team, you will play a crucial role in validating automotive SoC solutions.

  • You will be responsible for building up validation and benchmark frameworks to identify gaps and risks at the component and module level.

You will collaborate with other cross-functional teams to gather test requirements, conduct test sequences, and collect data.

The goal is to ensure that test results meet the performance requirements specified by the architecture.

This role requires strong technical skills, particularly in hardware IP datasheets and user guides.

  • Familiarity with register access sequences, expected operation sequences, and their corresponding results, including register maps, timing diagrams, and command sequences.
  • Developing test vectors based on specifications outlined in the datasheet, considering valid and invalid input scenarios, edge cases, and conditions such as temperature and voltage.
  • Conducting tests on hardware platforms using lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Gathering data from tests, noting discrepancies from expected outcomes, and performing function validation to assess alignment with expected results.
  • Holding hands-on knowledge of protocols like JTAG, SPI, I2C, and UART, focusing on signal integrity and communication sequences.
  • Utilizing tools to probe interfaces and verify correct operation during the bring-up phase.

This role also involves designing and implementing simple test fixtures using reference design kits, cables, and connectors.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of hardware IP datasheets and user guides.
