Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Worker to join our team at our Roaring Creek/Shamokin location. As a Utility Worker, you will be responsible for repairing main breaks and service leaks, installing new services, and repairing/replacing valves and fire hydrants. You will also perform water main mark outs in accordance with the PA One Call regulations and conduct monthly leak detection on Aqua facilities using company leak detection equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water distribution system facilities, including water mains, valves, hydrants, and service lines.
  • Ensure daily work complies with EPA and PUC regulatory requirements for operations and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate and perform maintenance on all equipment and vehicles used in the maintenance of the water system.
  • Read and interpret maps, drawings, and schematics, including GIS data.
  • Perform field service representative and meter reading work as assigned.
  • Respond to after-hour calls for emergency and non-emergency situations as required.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) must be attained within 90 days of hire.
