Maintenance Technician Assistant
Shift: 8:00am to 4:00pm
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance team by assisting with the installation of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. This role involves maintaining and repairing various systems, ensuring the functionality of equipment, and performing routine preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, ventilation units, and other essential machinery. The assistant will also engage in the construction and upkeep of both wooden and concrete structures, as well as the painting and preservation of building interiors and exteriors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician Assistant is expected to provide comprehensive support in the operation, upkeep, and repair of all systems within the facility.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the electrical distribution systems from the main entry to outlet connections and associated systems.
- Supporting the water distribution systems, including domestic and heat transfer systems.
- Aiding in the maintenance of air distribution systems, which encompass ventilation and climate control mechanisms.
- Contributing to the upkeep of general building systems such as doors, windows, roofs, and flooring.
- Completing daily tasks assigned by maintenance supervisors.
- Engaging in hands-on work daily, collaborating with team members on various projects, and independently managing specific assignments.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of a thorough Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Helping to manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tracking replacement costs.
- Monitoring and documenting energy consumption metrics.
- Ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
