Position Summary:
The Automotive Technician is responsible for the effective repair, servicing, and maintenance of diesel trucks, lifts, trailers, and small engines, both in the workshop and in the field as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mechanical repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance as directed by management.
  • Inspect and ensure that all equipment is consistently maintained and repaired.
  • Accurately complete work orders and document all tasks performed.
  • Ensure all costs related to parts and services are accounted for in work orders.
  • Stay updated on all equipment models utilized by the company.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of parts and shop supplies.
  • Track company tools and equipment.
  • Report any damaged or unsafe parts to management.
  • Assist in training and supervising junior mechanics.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Engage with vendors on cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Experience in welding and electronics is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
  • Must provide personal hand tools.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and DOT physical.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.

Work Environment:
This position may require extended hours and travel as needed for various projects. Personal protective equipment must be worn when required.
