Equipment Specialist

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment as assigned. This includes performing preventative maintenance for guest rooms, ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a hotel or related field, with a high school diploma or equivalent required. A licensed trade professional (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) is preferred, as well as a valid driver's license for the applicable state and an acceptable MVR.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up paint, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
- Perform plumbing repairs, laundry equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply.
- Monitor energy conservation and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment as needed.
- Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause, and report to the Front Desk with findings.
Requirements:
- Experience in a hotel or related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed trade professional (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Acceptable MVR.
