Job Title: Abilities Coordinator
Job Summary:
River Crossing YMCA is seeking a skilled Abilities Coordinator to work with the Special Needs community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations in recreational settings and possess a strong understanding of adapted activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intakes of new participants and coordinate abilities teen nights.
- Work with building programs and schedule abilities staff.
- Assist with program development and expansion in conjunction with the Associate Director of Ability programs.
- Create group program rosters and track enrollment for Qaukertown.
- Maintain inventory of program supplies and order supplies as needed.
- Share upcoming events and necessary communications with program families via email and phone calls.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older.
- 3-4 years of experience working with a diverse population in a recreational setting preferred.
- High School Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs in a recreational setting required.
- Credentials in aquatics or fitness and adapted activities preferred.
