Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist provides direct patient care by applying the skill of diagnostic imaging utilizing CT scanning equipment. They will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.
Key Responsibilities:- Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct.
- Perform computed tomography procedures.
- Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.
- Make radiation exposures by energizing scanner.
- Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents specific to procedures.
- Assist the radiologist with biopsies and drainage procedures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
- Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required.
- Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association certification (required).
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred).
- State licensure (preferred).
- 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred).
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred).
- Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) experience (preferred).
