IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a qualified IT Infrastructure Specialist to enhance our Information Technology department. In this position, you will oversee server operations, data protection, security protocols, user account oversight, communication systems, and network management. Additionally, you will serve as a guide for the team and create solutions to support our institutional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer server resources including Active Directory, Exchange, file sharing systems, virtualization platforms, storage solutions, firewalls, Microsoft 365, and security measures.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Provide advanced support for technical support requests.
  • Manage various project goals, activities, and timelines.
  • Assist users from a centralized support environment.
  • Set up and configure computer hardware and software.
  • Create instructional materials and conduct training sessions for staff.
  • Oversee the resolution of intricate technical challenges with a timely response.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, presentations, and reports for leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative work atmosphere.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of advanced experience with Windows servers, virtualization technologies, and networking tools.
  • Proficient in hardware management, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, storage networks, and VMware.
  • Excellent communication, training, and analytical skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Windows server environments, desktop applications, facilitation, and change management.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
  • Commitment to fostering an environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
